Installed and configured Cisco Secure (Authentication Authorization Accounting) Created user accounts and configured permission groups for Dial Out users. Created Perl and EXPECT programs to collect important information from the AS-5300s and the Cisco Secure server and present that information on a web page. Installed Cisco DialOut utility on Windows 95 and NT systems and configured various applications to use the Cisco DialOut utility for dial out through the AS-5300.

Responsible for providing expert solutions in a rapidly growing, complex global WAN consisting of around 380 Cisco routers interconnected by Frame Relay, Leased lines, ISDN, Singlemode and Multimode FDDI, and other transports. Protocols used include TCP/IP, Novell IPX, Netbios, Decnet, SNA, DLSW+, RSRB, SMB, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, and others. Analyzed router configurations and network requirements and provided design solutions. Mentored junior staff as they configured and installed additional routers at new sites. Used Cisco debugging commands and Network General Sniffers to solve complex network problems. Designed access lists and protocol filters. Designed VLSM routing solutions. Tested new protocols and implemented them into the production network. Tested and implemented NAT to allow networking between companies that were using the same private TCP/IP address space. Provided expert guidance in the design and implementation of network firewalls consisting of Cisco routers and "Check Point FireWall-1" software running on HP-UNIX systems. Provided assistance in the design of firewall rule sets. Implemented Frame Relay Switching in the Cisco routers to allow cost savings. Implemented IP tunneling to allow cost savings.
